The Wolverhampton base for the recently collapsed construction giant, Carillion has now gone onto the market for around £3m.

The 97 employees of the Midlands based office have been made redundant pushing the total number of jobs lost to 1,800. The organisation entered into administration back in January after running up debts of £1.5bn.

This update comes after it was recently revealed that work on two hospitals is being delayed due to the company’s demise. It is said that around 5,400 employees are still working to deliver for the private and public sector customers until decisions are made on whether the contracts will be ended or transferred to another organisation.

The property is currently occupied by Carillion and its liquidators PwC and the building is being sold by an unnamed private investor.
